Kvarner is the best travel destination and one of the top ten regions in the world!

One of the largest tourism fairs, the World Travel Market (WTM), is being held in London, featuring around 5,000 exhibitors from more than 180 countries. Among them is Croatia, which is one of the biggest global hits when it comes to the coming year!

This year, the Croatian National Tourist Board organized the presentation of the Croatian tourist offer on a stand of 330 square meters, which is located in a very attractive and visible position. Visitors were particularly attracted to the installation of virtual reality goggles, so many partners enjoyed a virtual walk in Dubrovnik, rafting on Zrmanja and cruising on the Kornati islands.

Many tourist boards of Croatian counties presented themselves at the fair, but only one received two significant awards.

The Kvarner Tourist Board, together with Lonely Planet, presents itself to the British media through the prestigious 2020 Best in Travel Award. Namely, Berlin has released a prestigious list of destinations that, according to Lonely Planet's independent travel experts, should be the focus for next year's travel. In addition to this flattering title given to Kvarner by the tourism magazine Lonely Planet, it has been highlighted as a “must go” destination and listed on the Top 10 Regions of the World. Kvarner is the only Croatian representative selected by this world-famous guide, which is a confirmation that it has definitely come out of the shadow of some of Croatia's most famous destinations. Natural beauties, rich historical and cultural heritage, excellent and varied gastronomy of Kvarner, health tourism, households of the extremely important World SKAL Congress in October next year, the title of Rijeka as European Capital of Culture in 2020, the presidency of the EU Council in 2020 - all of these the arguments that contributed to such significant recognition.
