Vir Municipality Receives Prestigious Tourism Award "Simply the best".
After receiving the award for best Advent manifestation three years ago, UHPA and the magazine Way to Croatia have again awarded the Municipality of Vir for the Vir 365 -year round tourism project.
Vir 365 year-round tourism project has won the famous Simply the Best Award, by which the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) and Way to Croatia evaluate the best Croatian tourism products, quality, inventiveness, creativity and ideas in tourism. These traditional annual awards were presented at a special ceremony as part of the official program of the 21st PUT Tourism Exchange, the oldest Croatian B2B tourism meeting organized in cooperation with destination management company Vall 042 and UHPA, bringing together agency staff and tourism service providers, hotel and restaurant business and tourist board systems.
This is a great recognition and award from Way to Croatia and UHPA, but the second to be won by Tourism Vir (in 2016 Vir Tourism received the award for the best Advent manifestation).
Vir has become an elite and recognizable Croatian Tourist destination. The Simply the Best Award is an award for creativity and continuous development of year-round tourism and the realization of new tourist facilities. Along with communal, economic and all other related effects, this has raised the attractiveness of Vir as a tourist destination.
The Simply the Best award from the Way to Croatia and UHPA magazines awarded to the Municipality of Vir for the continuous development of year-round tourism, the realization of new tourist facilities and a significant increase in the attractiveness of the destination, is one of the most beautiful, but not the only in the past three years. The Municipality of Vir received special recognition at the 25th edition of the International Tourism, Film and Landscape Festival INTERSTAS 2018, while the destination company Vir Tourism received the grand prize - Golden INTERSTAS. In September, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce and Večernji List awarded the Municipality of Vir for contributing to the development of Croatian tourism, while this beautiful story began in 2016 when the Municipality of Vir and Vir Tourism received the first Simply the Best for the best Advent event in rural Adriatic.
