Croatia celebrates Statehood Day - 35 years ago, on May 30, 1990, the first democratic, multi-party Parliament was constituted and its historic role in preserving Croatian statehood was confirmed.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and members of the Government will lay wreaths at the Monument to the Homeland on the occasion of Statehood Day.

On the occasion of Statehood Day and Corpus Christi, which fall on the same day, Zagreb Archbishop Monsignor will lead a mass celebration in the Church of St. Mark in the Upper Town, after which Prime Minister Plenković and members of the Government will attend the changing of the guard of the Kravat Regiment.

Statehood Day will also be marked in other cities. At the Vukovar Memorial Cemetery for Victims of the Homeland War, city representatives will pay tribute to the fallen by laying wreaths and lighting candles, and a Holy Mass for the Homeland will be celebrated in the Church of St. Philip and James.

In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will attend a program at the Recreational and Sports Center on Jarun in Zagreb, where he will tour a tactical and technical assembly of weapons, combat and non-combat equipment and equipment of units, as well as products and services of veterans' cooperatives. He will also attend demonstration exercises of the Croatian Army and Police, and a flight program of the Croatian Air Force.

The celebration of Statehood Day will end with a gala concert at the Croatian National Theatre.
