The Tower of Great Revelin has been guarding the old core of Korčula since the thirteenth century. In addition to the sea gate on the west, it was the only way to get into the old town. Today, the massive stone staircase leads to the passage through the tower itself where local musicians welcome many tourists with their song. Interior of the tower is an exhibition space that tells the past of Korčula's signature sword dance Moreška, while the top of the tower serves as a viewpoint.  Besides the distinct street layout in shape of a fish skeleton, the Great Revelin Tower is one of the trademarks of Korčula and one of the most frequently photographed locations.
