The 8th edition of the international cycling race CRO Race is held from September 26th to October 1st and bring together many famous names of the world cycling scene. It will host 20 cycling teams from Europe, Asia, America and Australia, through 6 stages, on a route longer than 1,000 kilometers which traditionally connects the coast with the continent, pass through eight counties and the City of Zagreb and include both already known and completely new destinations.
CRO Race is a sports event that not only promotes cycling as a sport, but by promoting natural beauty and cultural heritage puts Croatia on the map of the most attractive cycling destinations in the world and sends one of the most beautiful postcards in Croatia to the world.
Cycling, adrenaline, fans - get ready! 6 stages - 6 days - 976 km.
This year's first stage will be on the route Primošten-Sinj (185 km), the second will go from Biograd na Moru to Novalja (119.5 km), the third will connect Otočac and Opatija (133.5 km), the fourth - also the longest – Krk and Labin (191 km), Crikvenica and Ozalj will be the start and finish of the fifth stage (188 km), and the final sixth stage will traditionally run from Samobor to Zagreb (159 km). The last stage will end this year at a new location, at the fountain in front of the National and University Library. Novalja thus became the first island destination, and in addition to Pag, cyclists will also ride around Krk, which will host the start of the fifth stage and thus become the first island host of the start in the history of the race.
The sports part of the race will be at a high level again this year, with the expected performances of several of the world's best teams from the UCI WorldTeams and ProTeams categories. At the same time, the inclusion of the race in the UCI calendar and the qualification rank of the race 2.1. the best affirmation of the status that CRO Race has in the cycling world. BAHRAIN VICTORIOUS, INEOS GRENADIERS, LIDL-TREK, TEAM DSM and TEAM JAYCO ALULA are just some of the world's best teams that we will be watching.
This year too, the most beautiful parts of Croatia are included in the race. Visitors and spectators from all over the world will, in addition to the exciting race, also enjoy a variety of natural beauties.
The race will be broadcast by numerous television stations from as many as 6 continents - in Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa and Australia - in as many as 190 countries.
