Advent in Croatia breaks records

Advent events attract tourists, and many places throughout Croatia have attractive Advent and New Year programs.

Croatia is increasingly becoming an Advent destination chosen for the Christmas holidays by more foreign guests than last year so the new record in arrivals and overnight stays was broken.

In December, 230,000 arrivals and more than 522,000 overnight stays were recorded, compared to last year in the Advent period. This is a growth of 17% in arrivals and 5% in overnight stays. Most guests stays in Istria, Kvarner and Split-Dalmatia County. In Istria, 6 campsites, numerous villas in the interior and on the coast, and 50 hotels were opened during the holidays! During the two peak holiday weeks, Istria will be visited by 40,000 guests. 150 thousand overnight stays are expected.

Thanks to the positive trends in December, it is expected that the number of tourists for New Year's Eve will reach around 90,000. Many hotels in Zagreb have long been full, and travel agencies point out that this year they have reached numbers similar to those before the pandemic.

Homemade food and a good drink as the strongest trump card are an unmistakable lure for satisfied guests. And that is exactly what Adventist stands offer in cities all over Croatia.

Great news for the end of this year, and everyone is hoping for an even better 2024.
