Zlatni Rat Beach in Bol on the island of Brač is one of the most famous and most photographed beaches in Croatia and the entire Adriatic. This unique natural landmark is located about 2 kilometres west of the town of Bol, on the southern coast of Brač Island, overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Hvar Channel.
Zlatni Rat is well known for its distinctive pebble spit that stretches deep into the sea, creating a unique shape that constantly changes under the influence of wind, waves and sea currents. This natural phenomenon makes the beach one of the most interesting coastal formations in the Adriatic.
The beach was formed by the accumulation of fine white pebbles around an underwater reef, and its tip can extend up to around 500 metres into the sea. Zlatni Rat is surrounded by a beautiful pine forest that provides natural shade during the hot summer months, creating a perfect environment for swimming, relaxation and enjoying the Mediterranean landscape.
Thanks to the constant winds in this part of Brač, Zlatni Rat is also one of the most popular windsurfing and kitesurfing locations in Croatia, attracting water sports enthusiasts from all over the world.
Because of its beauty and unique shape, Zlatni Rat has become one of the most recognizable symbols of Croatian tourism and is frequently listed among the most beautiful beaches in Europe.
