Zlatar

Zlatar is located on the southern slopes of the mountain Ivanščica, the highest mountain in northwestern Croatia. It occupies a central position between two major centers, the city of Zagreb and Varaždin and includes 19 settlements.

The settlements located at the foot of Ivanščica are the starting point for many mountaineers who want to enjoy hiking on this mountain, sightseeing the numerous ruins of old towns or socialize in one of the mountain lodges.

Cycling is very popular in this area. The first organized cycling movements and competitions in Zlatar date from 1907 and this form of recreation and competition has lasted to this day. The town of Zlatar and its surroundings have marked and marked a total of 97 kilometers of bike trails that pass through the most attractive area and connect the natural, historical and social sights of our area.
