Živogošće

Živogošće is located in the south of Makarska Riviera, at the foot of mountain Biokovo, an ideal destination for all lovers of adventure, hiking and active vacation in nature.

Živogošće consists of places Porat, Mala Duba and Blato, interconnected by several kilometers of white pebble beach crowned with pine forests and tamaris. Apart from the wonderful nature, there are also old churches and monasteries. Zivogosce is inhabited by Illyrian and Roman times, as evidenced by the Illyrian graves at the top of Suzina hill and the remains of a rustic villa in Mala Duba and Blato.

The natural beauties of olive groves and pine forests, overhanging the fine pebble beaches, 6 km of interconnected beaches, clean and unpolluted sea, all located at the foot of the high mountain, top 1155 m above sea level, gives tourists a special atmosphere and enjoyment of stay.

Živogošća beaches are suitable for families with children. Evenings in Živogošće, besides visiting some of the excellent restaurants or taverns, you can spent the walking trail along the sea, and the locals will make sure that during the season there will be enough cultural and entertainment events.
