Mošćenička Draga is a small coastal place not far from Opatija. Situated at the foot of the green Učka mountain on the shores of the Kvarner Bay, it gives the impression of loneliness and peace - the characteristics that are very sought after today as a relaxing holiday.
The former fishing village of the 19th century is today a tourist destination with a port that symbolizes its past. Over the years, more and more tourists discovered this little secret of the Adriatic coast and turned into a place we know today - the top tourist destination on the Opatija riviera.
Mošćenička Draga is recognizable by its long pebble beach, locally known as Sipar, which many consider to be the most beautiful in the region.
The promenade (lungomare) towards the beach of Sv. Ivan is very romantic and all along the coast is accompanied by the sound of the sea and the scent of Mediterranean vegetation. The crown of this path is the villa of Zagreb, also the few charming old villas towards the beach of Sv. Ivan.
