RijekaRun - the biggest street race in Croatia

The streets of Rijeka will soon come alive again with the running strides of all generations! The Homo si teć – Rijeka Run sports and recreation festival is being held for the 27th time this year, and over three weekends it will bring as many as nine races that will attract professional runners, recreational runners, and families eager to get moving.

The sports and recreation festival "Homo si teć - Rijeka Run" grew out of the Homo si teć race, which was first held in 1998.

It opens with a short but challenging race on the Trsat stairs on April 4 - 539 jumps, on April 11 the Molo longo race transforms the popular promenade in the very center of the city into an attractive path by the sea, and the festival ends on April 18 when the traditional races of the 22nd Rijeka Half Marathon, the Relay Race powered by SPAR, the Ten powered by Sport Vision, Erste Petica, the dm mići race for preschool children and parents, the Milka Milinković Memorial for people with disabilities, and the Homo si teć humanitarian citizens' race will be held.

Runners from 30 countries around the world participate in the run through the streets of Rijeka; Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Spain, the USA, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom, as well as more distant destinations such as Australia, Kenya, Kuwait, South Korea, Brazil, and the Philippines. Rijeka Run thus confirms its status as an international sporting event that contributes to the development of active tourism and strengthens the sporting image of Rijeka.
