Porozina is a village and ferry port on the westernmost cape of the island of Cres. Administratively, the settlement belongs to the town of Cres. The village is located in a bay in the north of the island. The bay is protected from all winds, so this place has been the only one suitable for docking since time immemorial.
Today there is the old Porozina, built on a hill above the port and the new Porozina, a weekend resort built in the last 20 years or so.
The ferry line Brestova - Porozina is the optimal option when you come from Italy, Slovenia or Istria and travel to the islands of Cres or Lošinj, and even to the island of Krk, since the ferry ride takes only 20 minutes. The ferry port Porozina on Cres is 25 km away from the town of Cres and if you continue driving to the island of Krk to Merag you also have 25 km drive. The distance of Mali Lošinj is about 80 km.
