Jablanac is a small village located on the shore of the Velebit, where the island of Rab is closest to the mainland.It is located in a small harbor where ferries to the island of Rab used to dock and is suitable for those who want to explore the beauty of the Kvarner islands on a one-day trip.Today, Jablanac is a picturesque fishing and tourist village.

The famous naturalist and travel writer Miroslav Hirtz built a mountain lodge on a 26-meter stone cliff, which today bears his name. Just 5 km before Jablanac and 40 km from the historic town of Senj, the Adriatic highway splits off and takes you to Stinica, which consists of an apartment complex and an old settlement.

The Stinica ferry port is located in the bay, near the city center and the main promenade In the shallow bay of Mala Stinica, there is a brick coast and a small wharf. A new ferry pier was also built, which takes passengers to the nearby island of Rab via the connection Stinica - Mišnjak.
