Ploče also has the Blue Flag, which means that the cleanliness and quality of the sea meet international requirements, and that the beach is in the safe hands of the rescue service. On the beach there are numerous restaurants where you can refresh yourself and taste local specialties.
The beach is located below the most beautiful and largest pool complex in Croatia, the Kantrida pools. Today, Kantrida swimming pools are not only a space for preparations and competitions for athletes, but also an attractive place for recreation and entertainment. The complex is a world award winner. Along with the outdoor Olympic pool by the sea, 5 pools of different sizes were created. The complex is primarily a sports facility, but also offers a range of facilities for recreation, relaxation and entertainment. Athletes and citizens have at their disposal fitness and wellness, and within the complex there is a diving club and a travel agency. Visitors can relax in one of the 3 restaurants with a beautiful view of the sea, the islands of Krk, Cres and Lošinj, then Učka, Opatija and Lovran.
