Kupres vrh Tikvice, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The increasingly famous and popular Kupres ski resort attracts the majority of skiers and snowboarders from western Bosnia and Dalmatia. It is only 5 kilometers from Kupres and less than two hours' drive from Split. Its favorable geographical location at an altitude of 1250 m and a harsh mountain-alpine climate guarantee 100 days of snow, making it an ideal destination for skiing and recreational skiers. In the range of 1150-1250m, skiers can find 4 ski runs with a total length of approx. 13 km, and skiers have at their disposal a double chairlift, 2 ski lifts (anchor) and one baby lift for the youngest. In addition to skiing, you can also enjoy sledding, night skiing, snowmobiling and dog sledding, and if you do not have your own ski equipment, you can rent it at the ski resort. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides, and this sight leaves a striking impression on almost everyone who sees it. The climate is harsh, mountainous-alpine with an average annual temperature of 5.7 C. The average winter temperature is 2 C, there are a total of 55 snowy days per year, and the average snow depth is rarely below 25 cm. These conditions guarantee quality skiing throughout the season.

The Čajuša ski resort that we see on the camera is the old part of Kupres. The camera shows the Tikvice motel and the recognizable Kupres landscape - the top of the Adria Ski ski slope on Ćajuša. The Tikvica motel is located below the Tikvica peak at the foot of the slope. The flat plateau in front of the motel is the lower part of the Tikvica beginner slope, ideal for ski schools.
