World Meeting of 2CV for the first time in Croatia

23rd 2CV World Meeting will be held in Croatia for the first time in Samobor in period of 30rd of July until 4th of August. This will be the most massive gathering of drivers and sympathizers of the Citroën legendary car 2CV, popularly known as Spaček, which has been held since 1975.

This meeting is classified among 30 TOP events in Croatia in 2019, and this is the only event in Zagreb County. With the support of the Croatian Tourist Board, it is organized by the Croatian 2CV Citroën Club from Samobor, which has gathered the drivers of the popular Spaček for 20 years.

Approximately 3,000 vehicles and more than 12,000 participants from more than 30 countries are expected, among them are lovers coming from far off Australia and Ivory Coast!

The Spaček Tour starts from the center of Zagreb, where the owners will park a total of 200 vehicles at Ban Jelačić Square and off-road driving by Žumberak to Samobor.

The world meeting will also be the occasion to mark the first century of the French manufacturer, and so will be organized the "100 Years of Citroën" Museum where visitors will be able to see original exhibits. Visitors will be provided with a complete infrastructure camp, a commercial zone with a sales part for spare parts dealers and souvenirs, a variety of food and beverage products, an everyday children's program, choice of original vehicle, Spaček driving skills, 2CV nightclubs, evening concerts, gastro corners with promotion Croatian regions through the music part and many other interesting things.

The 2CV Adriatic Raid will pass through Gorski Kotar, Lika and the coastal area near Split, while the 2CV Continental Raid will go through continental Croatia, through the Croatian Zagorje, Sisak, Lonjsko Polje and Slavonia with finish in Đakovo on August 8th, when in the city will arrive about 50 vehicles and 100 participants. During the stay in Đakovo, participants will visit the state stable Đakovo, and thereafter will form a parade of vehicles driving on the streets of the city with finish at Strossmayer Square.

As host to this event, Samobor stays alongside with the European destinations that have been hosts from the Netherlands, France to Portugal in recent years. Samobor will not only present itself as a city but also Croatia as a desirable tourist destination.
