PagArtFestival

PagArtFestival is the only artistic manifestation in the area of the city of Pag that attracts not only with the quality of the program but also with a special atmosphere, equally attractive to different generations and nations, beautiful and unusual concert venues such as the Pag Solana salt magazine, the carefully decorated ruins of the Old Town of Pag, St. Mary's Assumption Church.

The 28th PagArtFestival will be held from August 1 to 17 with with five events;various concerts and performances at unique locations throughout the city.

The traditional opening recital by pianist Lovro Pogorelić, the founder of the Festival, originally from Pažan, will be held in the Church of the Assumption of Mary, symbolically starting another artistic summer in Pag.

On August 3rd at 9 pm, the audience will be able to see the theater play "Steinberg Spoon" by Lee Hall, produced by ŽabaTeatr from Zagreb. The play is directed by Lawrence Kiiru and performed by Ana Pogorelić.

The art part of the program is scheduled for August 6, when at 7 p.m. the exhibition "Portraits at a Festival" by Elvis Šmit will be opened in the Church of St. George. On the same day, at 9 p.m., a concert will be held in the I magazin of Solana Pag by violinist Eva Mach and accordionist Martina Jembrišak, bringing the audience an attractive chamber program.

One of the most memorable festival moments is expected on August 9th, when Austrian cellist Jeremias Fliedl will perform on the Festini ship.

Guitar music lovers will find their place on August 12th at 9 pm in the Old Town, where guitarist Paula Ćurić will perform with a solo program.

The festival's closing ceremony is scheduled for August 17th at 9 pm in the Church of the Assumption of Mary, when the Antiphonus ensemble will perform with organist Tea Kulaš, which will round off another edition of the event dedicated to top-notch art in the ambiance of the historic center of Pag.

The festival will traditionally be opened by pianist Lovro Pogorelić with a concert recital in the imposing setting of the Pag Solane salt warehouse.
