Summer in the Capital" is the name for the pre-program of the project Rijeka 2020 - European Capital of Culture and other significant cultural events on the streets of Rijeka, squares, parks, cultural institutions and other expected and unexpected places.
In the hot summer months Rijeka offers a new project called "Summer in the Capital". Who says summer in Rijeka must be boring. The project includes some already existing programs such as Rijeka Summer Night organized by HNK Ivana pl. Zajc, Summer at Gradina, Summer Art Cinema and Summer School of the Center for Advanced Studies of South East Europe University of Rijeka, and the mass of new programs.
In addition to the rich program, this summer is the focus of the Delta area and various other locations covered by the program Direction of Sweet and Salty on which the sweet Rječina water mixes with the sea.
The summer in the capital will last for a long time and will be great, and you can experience the part of the beautiful Rijeka atmosphere through our webcams at various locations.
