Watch the Extraordinary "Human Bot" Performance live !!
An innovative art project merges the digital world with the streets of the old town. From Monday to Wednesday (September 7–9), in front of the Veliki Revelin tower in Korčula, the renowned Australian artist of Croatian descent, Anita Bačić, will perform "e/migrate times – human bot." For all of you who cannot be on the island, our portal has secured a direct broadcast of this digital-physical experiment live via webcams!
Organized by the Siva) (zona (Grey Zone) – space for contemporary and media art, this project fascinatingly transfers the logic of an internet bot into real, physical public space. At a predetermined time, artist Anita Bačić will appear in front of a public webcam, presenting historical archive images about migrations from Australia, while interacting directly with the passers-by who happen to be there.
- Every day from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM – The artist will perform live in front of the stairs leading to the entrance of the old town (Land Gate Tower / Veliki Revelin).
The performance is designed to exist simultaneously in two places – in the physical space of Korčula and in the online world. If you are unable to personally visit the south of Croatia, don't worry.
Our llive webcam pointed towards Veliki Revelin will broadcast the entire event in real-time. Tune in, view the archival materials presented by the artist, and follow the reactions of tourists and locals in real-time!
As part of this project, the exhibition e/migrate times is also set up at St. Mark’s Square in Korčula. Access is completely free and innovative: visitors simply connect to the open Wi-Fi network “siva) (zona” on their mobile devices, which spontaneously activates the digital artwork on their screens. The exhibition in this format will remain accessible until October 31, 2026.
