Zadar celebrates its day and one of the four patron saints.

One of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean, declared the best European destination in 2016. Lonely Planet, the world's leading authority in travel recommendations, recommends Zadar among the 10 Best in Travel destinations for 2019.

And the sunset, which was enjoyed by the Illyrian tribes 3000 years ago, completely fascinated the world cinematographer Alfred Hitchock, who declared that the Zadar sunset is the most beautiful in the world.

And nothing beats watching the sunset while listening to the unique music created by the Sea Organ and watching the light show performed by the Salute to the Sun installation.

On the occasion of the Day of the City of Zadar on November 24, a diverse program has been prepared and part of the festive program of the celebration includes numerous sports events and concerts.

On the same day, a concert by Mladen Grdović will be held on the occasion of the opening of the Advent program at Petr Zoranić Square.
A few interesting facts about Zadar:

- the center of Zadar is actually a large medieval fortress surrounded by a rampart, which in its length is even in front of Dubrovnik
- during the centuries of turbulent history, Zadar is guarded by its four patron saints: St. Šime, St. Krsevan, St. Stošija/Anastasia and St. Zoilo
- Zadar hosted the Pope twice: in 1177, Pope Alexander III. and in 2003 Pope John Paul II. at the Zadar forum
