Plitvice Lakes

We can't say Plitvice Lakes is the perfect destination only in winter. Plitvice is impressive in every season, but Plitvice under the snow cover is at least a sensation!

The park is open all day including weekends and holidays. During a walk through the waterfalls, lakes and snowy forests, you will be able to see one of the most beautiful scenes in life. Plitvice Lakes really tells a special winter fairytale. But winter fairytale can't be completed without skiing and sledging. No worries, nearby is a 500-meter long ski slope and it is ideal for amateurs, beginners and kids. In whatever group you are included, you will be able to afford a snowy adventure which is perfect to you.

Platak

All lovers of winter sports, Platak is more than a perfect destination for you. In the vicinity of Rijeka city there is a ski resort with various recreational facilities. In addition to skiing, here you will also have the opportunity to try snowboarding as well sledging - a little bit different sledging! In the valley of Pribeniša, there is 1 kilometer long trail for motor sledges.

Of course, besides you can rent sledges (regular and motor), there is a possibility of rent complete ski equipment. There is also separated part where children can have fun, and all beginners can ask for help from professional instructors. The specialty of Platak is also night skiing organized under the reflectors, so the slopes Zavoj 19 and Radeševo 1 are fantastically illuminated, and skiing in such conditions becomes even greater adventure.

Sljeme

At the top of Medvednica, only 20 minutes drive from the center of Zagreb is located Sljeme. With its appearance, landscape beauty and organization, Sljeme has won heart of numerous visitors. Skiers and snowboarders can use five ski slopes - White Meadow, White or Family Downhill, Blue Downhill, Green Downhill and the world-renowned Red Downhill where are organized skiing competitions.

The special experience that Sljeme offers is night skiing held on Red Downhill and White Meadow. On the top, middle and bottom of White Meadow, there are "refreshment" houses with sandwiches, sausages, beer and boiled wine.

Čelimbaša

In the heart of Mrkopalj is situated a ski resort Čelimbaša with three ski slopes - Tourist, Dinko's and Sunny slope. The longest is Tourist slope which, with its 1350 meters of lenght, guarantees the pleasure of good skiing. If you don't have your own ski equipment, you can rent it here. Also for all beginners there is a ski school. At this ski resort you will have the opportunity to enjoy only natural snow since there are no artificial snowfalls, so don't miss to spend every moment in snowy adventure on the "domestic" snow.

Petehovac

At only 3 kilometers from Delnice, the Petehovac ski resort is located on the top of the same name hill. Due to its offer and the structure of the complete ski resort, it is a perfect choice for beginners as well as for families with small children. Here you will have the chance to try night skiing every night, and all the slopes are excellent illuminated.

At the ski resort you have the opportunity to rent equipment for all ages, even for children of three years. Within the resort is an exquisitely decorated accommodation, and also an outdoor, but closed and warm part ideal for apres-ski fun.

Bjelolasica - The former pearl of winter tourism in Croatia

Once a favorite winter destination of numerous skiers and tourists and the largest ski resort in Croatia, this year will not welcome any guest. After the fire and destruction of facilities, the property of Olympic Center Bjelolasica has been auctioned for years, but unsuccessful.

Everything is ready for the guests, but unfortunately there are no investments. Once the pride of Gorski Kotar with 10 thousands of stays per year, 6 kilometers of ski slopes, 3 lifts and 3 cable cars is now empty. However, hope always exists.
