Antunovac

The municipality of Antunovac is located 5 km south of Osijek in Osijek-Baranja County. The municipality consists of the settlements of Antunovac and Ivanovac. The settlement is located on hilly glades next to Lake Ribnjak.

Antunovac was founded by the noble Janković family. This area was originally inhabited by people of different nationalities and different religions. Today in Antunovac there is a church dedicated to St. Antun, which was built in 1916, and since then masses have been celebrated in it.

The municipality of Antunovac is the only municipality in Slavonia counties that belonged to the developed parts, and its development is due to EU funds, and in 2019 it will be the leader among the counties in terms of the share of withdrawn money. She also took advantage of measure 7 of the Rural Development Program. By far the largest project in the history of the municipality is the Entrepreneurial Incubator and Accelerator, and they are also developing rural tourism. There is one of the two steppe falcon nests recorded in Croatia. In 2017, a cycling tourist rest area was built near the Korođvar Fortress.
