Pula is Ready for the Spectacle: Everything You Need to Know About the 8th Pula Marathon!

The 8th Pula Marathon will take place from September 18th to 20th, 2026, once again transforming the ancient city into the largest running stage in the region. This unique sports manifestation blends rich historical heritage, athletic spirit, and modern light art, drawing thousands of domestic and international runners.

The main competitive program is scheduled for Saturday, September 19th, featuring its trademark evening start and a spectacular finish inside the iconic Pula Arena.

A Blend of Running and the "Visualia" Light Festival

What makes the Pula Marathon truly special is that the night races take place simultaneously with Visualia, the city's famous festival of light. Runners will pass through illuminated city streets, enjoying stunning light installations that create a magical atmosphere along the entire route.

Official Program and Disciplines

The event is spread over three days so that everyone can participate – from the youngest toddlers to experienced half-marathoners:

1. Friday, September 18th – A Day for the Youngest

• 15:00 – 22:00 | Race bib and start pack pickup (Arena EXPO).
• 18:30 | Kids' Races in front of the Arena – a perfect opportunity for young runners to feel the competitive excitement.

2. Saturday, September 19th – Main Night Races

• 10:00 – 18:00 | Race bib pickup.
• 19:50 | Half Marathon (21.1 km) – the crown discipline on a newly certified course.
• 20:00 | 5.99 km Race – the perfect distance for recreational and sprint runners.
• 20:10 | Pulska Xica (10 km) – an extremely popular race through the heart of the city.
• 22:00 | Big After Party inside the Arena for all participants and fans.

3. Sunday, September 20th – Relaxing in Nature

• 11:00 | Nordic Walking (5 km) in the beautiful green oasis of the Šijana Forest.

 If you are not running this year, you can still catch the electric atmosphere, light installations, and the spectacular race start live through our webcams positioned at key locations across the city. Our portal's live cameras will provide a real-time broadcast, letting you experience the Pula Marathon from every angle.
