Pag lamb street food festival Kaloka

Pag lamb has a specific taste due to the area in which the indigenous sheep live and feed. It is karst, bare rock on which various medicinal herbs grow; nightingale, stingy small grass sprinkled with salt brought by the winter bora winds. It is precisely because of this breeding and feeding method that Pag lamb meat has a special taste, and world gastronomes consider it a top-notch specialty.

Kaloka - Pag Lamb Festival is taking place in Pag again this year. After a successful premiere last year, the Kaloka festival returns to the Old Riva in Pag. On Saturday, April 25, 2026, starting at 6:30 PM, the town of Pag once again becomes the center of top-notch gastronomy and good entertainment.

The festival is named after a sheep, which is characterized by its dark circles around its eyes, which make it look like it is wearing glasses or a mask, and is dedicated to one of the island's most recognizable delicacies - Pag lamb.

Visitors can expect a unique offer of creative street food lamb dishes, prepared by renowned Pag caterers: Porta Salina bar and club, Na Tale / Na Katine restaurant, Bodulo tavern, Bile tavern, Wine & Cheese Bar Trapula, D’10, Peka To Go. The combination of tradition and modern culinary trends will surely delight you from the first bite.

While you taste grilled lamb, in a burger, breaded, in goulash or some completely new variation, you will be entertained by DJ and the great atmosphere by the band.

Fans of creative expression will be able to participate in the wool felting workshop "Make Your Own Kaloku", led by Nikol Jakopić Donadić from Wooly Handmade. Along with relaxing socializing, creative people will make an original souvenir, a small Kaloka.
