This year at least twenty strong and popular festivals will be held in Croatia, from Ultra Europe to the south to Garden in Tisno, to the Outlook festival in Pula. And visitors, except for the good time at the festival, are also looking for a vacation at the sun and the sea. It is true that most of the festivals are concentrated in the summer months mostly at the Adriatic coast, but there are also a few of them very well visited in the interior as well.

Where to party in Croatia?

We bring you a brief overview of 10 of the most interesting festivals in Croatia sorted by date of maintenance. And you still have time to visit some of them!

1.  ULTRA EUROPE SPLIT 5 - 11. 07.

Mega stages, unseen production and musical spectacle every year at Poljud in Split are the main features of this world festival. Every year, Split and the festival visit over 150,000 visitors from more than 120 countries. The festival takes place at Poljud for 3 days and then goes to the islands of Brač, Hvar and Vis. The biggest summer event in Croatia, featuring dozens of DJs from the top of the world's top charts, will be held in Split until 2022. The Ultra Music openair Festival of Electronic Music was launched in Miami in 1999. The Ultra Worldwide music tour includes festivals in South Korea, Africa, Brazil, Japan and Miami, so we can really be proud to stand up with our Ultra Croatia by the side with these big countries. Amazing starring music set with a number of world-renowned DJs.

2.  FRESH ISLAND FESTIVAL, ZRĆE, NOVALJA, 10-12.07. 

The island of Pag once again becomes a world capital of hip hop music for a whole week. Fresh Island Festival is the European No1 Urban Beach Festival, which is held every summer on the Croatian beach Zrće. We can say that Zrće is considered to be the biggest Ibiza competitor and has become a synonym for the festival season thanks to numerous mega-clubs and an uninterrupted entertainment atmosphere. Each day of the festival takes place at day and night in clubs and on popular Boat parties. The festival novel is certainly a pop up barber on the Zrće beach, which will host the biggest British barber stars which will exclusively at Fresh Island week makes your hip hop hairstyles. And you can expect the most famous names from that music domain.

3. SUNCEBEAT 9, TISNO, 18-25.7.

There are not many festivals where you can swim in the glittering Adriatic Sea, relax in the pine forest and dance under the starry sky, which is certainly the Garden Festival, pioneer of festival music in Croatia. The Garden Resort is an intimate piece of paradise located on the coast, with crystal clear sea and sunny days and it is the perfect location for summer festivals. The small bay in the Tisno became the home of the stage beside the sea, the beach or the olive as well as the curving paths that reveal a rich offer of food and drinks, a place where the wooden boat is inviting you for fun, all fit into the beautiful nature where you can stay because there are secured apartments, luxurious tents, airstream trailers and a camping area. Nearby The Garden is Barbarella's Discotheque, a legendary outdoor club where you can dance under the stars and welcome the first sun surrounded by pine trees.  4.  SEASPLASH PULA 19-22.7.  

Seasplash is one of the longest Croatian festivals traditionally held at Fort Punta Christo in Štinjan, near Pula. Surrounded by beautiful beaches overlooking the bay of Pula, as well as the Brijuni National Park, Seasplash has become a major part of the cultural identity of the region and one of the most enchanting country music festivals. Seasplash brings the best performers from the region and from all over the world, featuring drum and bass music and culture. On stage you can dance on dub, reggae, ska, dubstep, hip hop, world music and various electronic music. The vibrant stages at the Punta Christo Fortress, at peninsula of Štinjan, a free beach camp, free workshops, a summer atmosphere and a relaxed atmosphere are the reasons why Seasplash is one of the most popular festivals in the region.

5.  VOI'SA MUSIC FESTIVAL, SUPETAR, BRAČ,  2. – 4.08.

When the usual weekend turns into an unforgettable summer experience. The Voi'Sa festival is an inevitable place for all those who love good music, entertainment and socializing in the almost intimate atmosphere of the Acapulco beach in Supetar on the island of Brač. With its new stage and production in its relaxed manner, the Voi'Sa Festival in Brač continues to fill its traditionally eclectic line-up which will satisfy even the most delicious appetites. The first weekend in August shortly before a National holiday when you can freely enjoy the party, relax and enjoy the festival and the summer vacation on Brač.

6. SUMMER YAMMAT

Yammat is your favourite radio station in a car, on a cell phone and at work? After a good trip to Yammat FM's urban radio station, it's time for a new, hot, summer version. On the one of the most beautiful music stages of the Adriatic, in the heart of Dalmatia, at the St. Mihovil fortress in Šibenik the 3rd Summer Yammat will be held! St. Mihovil has become a true cultural attraction and has the main role as an open concert hall throughout Dalmatia. The location itself as a cultural and historical center gives a special charm and had the opportunity to host many famous domestic and world names below the stars. 7.  SONUS FESTIVAL, ZRĆE, PAG, 19-23.8.

Do you want to celebrate the whole night under the open sky? Want to watch the sunset while listening to your favorite DJ? Do you want to swim in crystal clear sea all day and again and again and tomorrow again? International headlines and domestic heroes, underground stars and new hopes. These are the minds and hearts of those who make up the Sonus Festival. More than 70 performers in 3 great clubs that create perfect parties with sunset, incredible techno or dance with relaxed house sound. Powerful techno festival lasting 5 days and 5 nights. 8.  ŠPANCIRFEST VARAŽDIN 17-26.08.

Špancirfest in Varaždin, a totally different festival compares to the classic summer fetsivals at the seaside, but not less interesting. Concerts, street performers, workshops, exhibitions, creative, rich show-selling, gastronomic pleasures and numerous other activities for 10 days transform the beautiful historic core of Varaždin into a unique festival stage, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every year. Špancirfest, started it’s story 19 years ago as the first street festival in Croatia and today is one of the most visited national festivals. Špancirfest was declared the Croatian tourist event of the year in 2017. The festival brings together professional and amateur artists from all over the world - from musicians from various genres to street theater and multimedia performances. 9.  DIMENSIONS PULA 29.8-02.09.2018.

The 7th Dimensions Festival is held on the peninsula and Fort Punta Christo in Štinjan and is one of the most influential electronic music festivals in the world. It regularly brings some of the greatest names in world electronic music. Visitors to this spectacular festival enjoy the performances of several hundred performers, on a different daily and night stages, at party boats and at a beach camp. The performers at the festival represent the best of house, techno, jazz, funk, soul, drum and bass, psych and pop music. The friendly ambience, magical ambience, limited capacity, perfect sound and uncompromising choice of artist make Dimensions one of the most prestigious electronic music festivals in the world and an inevitable place for all true music lovers. 10.  OUTLOOK FESTIVAL, PULA, 5-9.9.

The Outlook festival is the largest European bass music and soundsystem culture festival, which will experience its 11th edition this year. Located in the Austro-Hungarian Fortress of Punta Christo from the 19th with a view of the bay of Pula and Brijuni, Outlook unites the best of world dub, reggae, dubstep, hip-hop, drum'n'bass, garage and related music to a spectacular festive weekend. Through 4 days and nights of great music and sunshine, over 10 festival stages, an impressive number of performers, a special daily beach stage, a beach camp, a dozen party boats and numerous accompanying amenities.
