A ceremonial welcome on the occasion of the return of the Croatian handball team from the World Handball Championship finals in Norway will be organized on the central square in Zagreb.
Croatia was defeated by Denmark in the final of the World Handball Championship with a score of 32:26. The match was played in front of around 15,000 spectators, of which around 2,000 were cheering for our heroes.
The arrival of the plane with the players and the coaching staff of the Croatian handball team at the Franjo Tuđman International Airport is expected at around 2 pm, and the arrival at Ban Josip Jelačić Square around 4 pm, when the Croatian handball players and the coaching staff will take to the stage.This will be the first welcome for our handball players since 2020, after the final of the European Championship in Stockholm.
The atmosphere is created by Prljavo kazalište, Zaprešić boys, Daleka obala and Thompson. The atmosphere will be further ignited by fan songs, timeless hits
Tens of thousands of our fans are expected to attend the welcome.
