Novi Vinodolski becomes the epicenter of storytelling, a culture that conveys important messages to new generations through narrative story telling. Therefore, the local community invited its narrators, but also those who will join their performances in seeing them through other art forms.
The program is inspired by the history and cultural heritage of the Mažuranić family because what the local community inherits is preserved knowledge that is transformed into contemporary artistic expressions, materializing myths and legends into reality and the present moment, passing it on to new generations. It’s not meant as tourist products, brands and decoration, but speaks of knowledge that becomes tangible and visible in the space of imagination from which new ideas for the future will emerge.
The program starts in the morning and the ceremonial opening of the Novi Vinodolski Neighborhood Day and the taking over of the neighborhood time capsule will be held at the square in front of the church of St Filip and Jakov at 8 p.m.
The announced event was organized in compliance with all recommendations of the HZJZ for the prevention of COVID-19. In order to protect their own health and the health of their loved ones, all participants and visitors are asked to follow the recommendations: enhanced personal hygiene, social distance and wearing protective face masks.
