Šibenik Dance Festival

The Šibenik Dance Festival from July 22 to 27 will turn the city into a real dance metropolis! It's time for the 13th edition of the festival, which will once again be held at the Fortress of St. Mihovila and other attractive locations to host numerous dancers, choreographers and dance groups with unforgettable contemporary dance performances.

Šibenik Dance Festival brings the beauty of dance art to the widest audience, without compromising on the quality of the performance. It is an original combination of intangible and tangible cultural heritage, quality program content and the fortress as a stage. Foreign artists are very interested in participating in the program. This is at the same time an international recognition of this cultural manifestation and proof that the Šibenik Dance Festival is well on its way to positioning itself high on the list of European art festivals.

The 13th edition of the festival bears the slogan "Connected through art and cultural diversity", and will host artists from a total of 15 countries, with nine performances in the main program. In addition to the accompanying program, a total of more than 20 choreographic units will be staged, in which the artists open up important topics and analyze the role of the individual in modern society.

The main program will be staged at several locations: on Trg Republike Hrvatske, on the Fortress of St. Mihovila and Tvrđavi Barone, in the Museum of the City of Šibenik and in front of the Azimut club. In addition, citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy the performances of dance groups from various parts of Croatia every evening on Šibenik's squares.

Since its beginnings in 2011, the festival has presented the works of renowned world choreographers, including Andonis Foniadakis, Xie Xin, Rami Be'er and hosted many other prominent artists.
