Military parade in Zagreb

On the last day of this month, a magnificent military parade will be held in Zagreb to mark Victory and Homeland Thanksgiving Day and the Day of Croatian Defenders.

The route of the parade, starting at 5 p.m., will be the same as in 2015. From the Croatia barracks northward, then along Marin Držić Avenue to the intersection with Vukovarska Street. The parade will officially start from that intersection. It will run the entire length of Vukovarska Street to the intersection with Savska Street, and then continue along Savska Street to the intersection with Slavonska Avenue and back to the barracks.

Visitors will have a unique opportunity to experience the level of training, equipment and determination of the Croatian defense forces up close, as the most modern weapons that the victorious Croatian Army possesses will be presented there. More than 500 different military vehicles, from Bradleys to Leopards on the ground, Bayraktar drones and other unmanned systems. The airspace above Zagreb will be filled with 40 aircraft, including Black Hawk and Kiowa Warrior helicopters, Canadair planes and powerful Rafale multi-role fighters in a spectacular aerial demonstration by the Croatian Air Force.

An additional dimension to the parade is brought by a video broadcast of the Croatian Navy, which will show the diversity of ships and naval capabilities, thus rounding out the presentation of all branches of the defense system of the Republic of Croatia.

Beside the military spectacle, a cultural and artistic part of the program awaits you. The anthem will be performed by the "Ivan Goran Kovačić" choir accompanied by the Croatian Armed Forces Orchestra.
