Following the desire and all previous activities to present Rab on the market as an attractive outdoor destination, but also following positive experiences from successfully implemented and internationally awarded projects such as the Rab Archaeological Traces project, which combines several segments of the offer, specifically outdoor, nature , history and culture, and which reaches a much wider audience and more interest groups, the Tourist Board of the City of Rab together with TZO Lopar, decided to partner with the project Fruga Art Trail organized by one of the most important and influential art associations from Nuremberg - Der Cross.
In addition to the Rab Tourist Board and the Lopar Tourist Board, the Kamenjak Rab Mountaineering Association and the Rab - Lopar Research and Development Center will also participate in the organization in partnership.
The Fuga Art Trail project combines outdoor activities - nature and environmentally conscious art. 35 artists from all over the world, including Hawaii, South Korea and Mongolia, will present their work, art installations, using natural materials. There will be sculptures, installations, performances, sound works and much more. An art trail that invites visitors to walk along the Premužić trail on the Fruga plateau to discover landscape-related art projects in different places. In this way, the trail itself would be further enriched with interesting and environmentally friendly artistic content, but it would also draw attention to the need to preserve and better manage such unique sites.
Fruga Art Trail is designed to be the largest international art colony ever held on Rab.
All visitors will be able to enjoy various accompanying events. On three days we are planning nature art workshops with artists, adults and children on the Fruga plateau.
