CROFISH, the Fishing and Fishing Equipment Fair

CROFISH, International Fishing Fair which will be held in a Žatuka Hall in Poreč from 24th to 26th of November, is a significant manifestation of interest to business entities from fishing, aquaculture, sport fishing and water sports in Croatia, Slovenia and Italy, where exhibitors covering the entire fishing sector, complete equipment for professional and sport fishing, fishing vessels and nautical equipment will be presented.

The aim of the fair is to enable gathering and presentation of all interested economic entities operating in the fisheries, mariculture and sport fishing in Croatia and neighboring countries in one place, with all that in atmosphere of international and inter-regional cooperation as an important factor in the development of marine fisheries and mariculture. 

During the Fair, a series of side events is planned to be held, some with the accent to public discussions, expert lectures and meetings of partners - fishermen, and activities to make fishery products closer to tourist markets and public spending in schools and kindergartens. The aim of the fair is to strengthen the position of fishery products in local diet, regulation of the fishery markets, construction of fishing infrastructure, improving business cooperation and access to fisheries, intensification of production and exports, as well as increasing the competitiveness of the fishermen.

The fair will be further enriched by the smells and tastes of the sea and seafood delicacies. Throughout the days of the fair, top chefs will prepare delicacies for visitors, the main ingredients of which will be various types of fish and shellfish. An opportunity for all interested gourmands and lovers of the sea to taste top seafood specialties for free every day.

In addition to a large number of exhibitors and a rich program at CROFISH, a real diving spectacle is being prepared, which will include free test diving in a 10-meter pool for all interested visitors to the fair. The goal of the Blue View project is to encourage as many people as possible to engage in water activities and to promote Croatia as a tourist and diving destination, the beauty of the Croatian undersea and its diving offerings.
