Brijuni National Park is an oasis of magnificent harmony of man, plant and animal life. Brijuni is home to almost 700 species of plants, around 250 species of birds, and the mild Mediterranean climate makes this place pleasant and healing. Starting from Fažana, seen from the deck, the line of green islands turns into Veliki Brijun, the largest of the 14 islands.
On a relatively small archipelago, with an area of just over 7 km2, around a hundred sites and archaeological objects and cultural and historical values have been recorded, spanning the period from the first Neolithic semi-dugout settlement in the Soline Bay to the creation of a fashionable summer resort and health resort at the beginning of the last century, as well as the presidential residence, which was visited by statesmen from as many as a third of countries around the world over the course of 25 years (1954-1979).
Brijuni Half Marathon is an international road athletics race with a total length of 21,098m. The start is located on Veliki Brijuni, in the immediate vicinity of the Karmen Hotel and the museum. The finish is located on the plateau near the Neptun and Istra Hotel.
