Croatia is one of the most idyllic countries to visit in Europe.
Teeming with different activities to enjoy, from its glowing beaches to the iconic historical towns and cities, fitting in enough of the Croatian experience in one trip can be incredibly tough. Some 20 million annual visitors come to enjoy everything, but most find themselves wishing they had even more time to enjoy the full assortment of experiences on offer.
To help visitors to Croatia find a way to at least tick off the most sought-after and enriching things to do in a fun way, here’s a spin on a classic game to help plan out your trip. Plus, we’ve got some suggestions for you to add to your Croatian bucket list and incorporate into this game.

A great way to gamify and even organise your trip to Croatia – or anywhere, for that matter – is to toy with the classic game of bingo. You might be thinking that this means simply making a three-by-three grid, dotting it with things to do, and then trying to tick them off in lines and rows.
Instead of that, we’re taking a lesson from the modern space of bingo. As shown across the bingo app, the classic game has evolved tremendously from this small grid-style of play. Wider tickets, tickets with jackpot zones, and, of course, traditional games are all readily available to play on demand or in special live sessions. For the Croatia list, we’re going to work backwards from the 80-ball game and use a five-by-five grid.
To start, you’ll need to list 80 things that you’d like to do in Croatia. Next, number the grid’s spaces from one to 25. Then, with two random number generators to hand – easily found online – randomise a number from the to-do list and a number on the grid to form your Croatia bingo sheet and activities to align to complete some bingo lines.

The key to making your bingo selection, trusting in the randomness of the process, is to pick 20 things to do across four sections. Those sections are: places to visit, things to eat and drink, points of interest, and things to do. This way, you’re bound to get a great selection of activities, some of which may link from one to the other.
On the section for places to visit, you should consider putting in the idyllic port town of Omiš on your list, along with the big ones like Split, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb. Also consider the island of Hvar and the western old beach town of Rovinj.
Trying local cuisines is easily among the most important and lasting experiences that you’ll have on any trip. There are easily 20 famed dishes to find across Croatia that you can try. The headline recommendations, however, would include the fish stew gregada, Istria truffles, the kulen sausage, pašticada, and any meal that includes ispod peke cooking.
Make it easy to explore and experience as much of Croatia as you possibly can by randomising your own travel bingo card and try to tick off as much of it as you can!
