After a months-long dispute between investors and the City of Split, the highest skyscraper in Croatia, Dalmatia Tower, passed a technical inspection and received a use permit. The operating permit was issued for a building for catering and tourist purposes, i.e. for a 4-star hotel with accompanying facilities.
It is the first AC hotel from the Marriott portfolio in Croatia, which will operate on as many as 15 floors and 3 underground floors. By the way, Marriott is the world's most prestigious hotel chain based in the USA. A little more than 1,000 people will work here, of which as many as 700 are engineers, IT technicians and highly specialized jobs in Ericsson, while AC Hotel will employ around 100 people. Dalmatia Tower will have a total of 214 accommodation units, of which 210 are rooms and 4 apartments, all of which have a view of the sea. The hotel will receive its first guests on July 17.
It is a big strategic project for Split, Dalmatia and Croatia. The city of Split, in addition to the tourist one, has been forever given a visa and a business environment.
Dalmatia Tower is next to top European achievements.
