Medieval Fair in Pag

Organized by the City of Pag, with the co-organization of the Paška alka Association and the support of the Pag Tourist Board, the 9th Pag Medieval Fair will be held in the Old Town of Pag on July 4th and 5th, 2026 - a cultural and historical event and one of the most attractive summer events that will revive the history of the city through a rich two-day program and provide visitors with a unique experience of life in the Middle Ages.

The old town of Pag will be transformed into an authentic medieval stage over the weekend, filled with knights, historical troops, craftsmen and numerous performers. The highlight of the fair is the reenactment of the Battle of Pag from 1192 with 85 costumed participants. Visitors will be able to enjoy knightly combat, performances by drummers, a ceremonial parade of historical troops, dance performances, a fire show, performances by falconers, archery and crossbowmen, a military camp, a display of medieval justice and numerous activities that faithfully recreate everyday life in the Middle Ages.

A special place in the program is occupied by a presentation of Pag lace, a medieval printing house, a blacksmith and chain workshop, demonstrations of old crafts, children's alka, horse riding, a children's carousel, and a rich offer of medieval cuisine and fair exhibitors.

During the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday, free workshops on traditional skills and old crafts will be held, including painting workshops "Pinelić and Žmujić", mosaic "Marble Story", wool felting "Painting with Wool", horsehair processing "Threads of Memories", natural dyeing "Paint with Herbs" and pottery "Vessels from Ancient Times", as well as the knightly game Children's Alka.

The program of both events begins at 6 p.m. and ends with a spectacular fire show in the evening. During the fair, visitors will be able to enjoy medieval games, military camps, a court jester, an executioner, archery, horse riding, a children's carousel, and will also be able to see numerous fair exhibitors and craftsmen.
