The day of Samobor celebrates the day when King Bela IV. on 1242. donated to Samobor the Charter of the Free Royal Market, and is officially celebrated on the third Saturday in October. 

Samobor City Day and the great 782nd anniversary will be celebrated this year with a rich and varied program that will begin on October 14 and last until October 20.

Concerts, exhibitions, free film screenings, literary meetings, lectures, quizzes, the Kotlovina Festival and tasting of famous Samobor gastro and eno products are part of the rich program of the Samobor City Day celebration.

Samobor is also known as a gastronomic destination, so You will enjoy in famous Samobor autochthonous products; Rudarska greblica and Samoborski bermet also in the wines of Samobor.

Great music program. On Friday the popular Grše will perform in the Bunker from 9 p.m., while on Saturday from 8 p.m. the legendary group Prljavo kazalište will warm up the atmosphere at Trg kralja Tomislava. The audience will enjoy a unique musical event on Sunday, from 6 p.m., when the popular Carmina Burana by Carl Orff will be performed by the Ivan Goran Kovačić Choir and the Sudar Percussion Ensemble at Trg kralja Tomislava.
