The day of Samobor celebrates the day when King Bela IV. on 1242. donated to Samobor the Charter of the Free Royal Market, and is officially celebrated on the third Saturday in October.
Samobor City Day and the great 780th anniversary will be celebrated this year with a rich and varied program that will begin on Friday, October 7 and last until October 16, with the central celebration taking place on the weekend of the 15th and 16th. October.
The celebration starts on Saturday in the Park of Homeland Appreciation with a tribute to veterans. 20 historical troops will participate in the ceremony and will parade through the streets of Samobor.

And in the evening on 15th October, as a real birthday party, at the main Samobor square at 9pm Petar Grašo will magnify birthday celebration by his concert. After the concert visitors will enjoy the traditional fireworks.
