This year, Vela Luka will once again become a meeting place for music lovers, friendship and memories of one of the greatest Croatian musicians - Oliver Dragojević.
The 8th edition of the "Trace to the Endless", which has been gathering performers and audiences from all over Croatia for years, has prepared four special concert evenings dedicated to Oliver's music and legacy.
Beside four major concert evenings, the program includes a series of accompanying events - book promotions, performances by young performers, various cultural events and a humanitarian football match - which further enrich this musical event and make it a unique blend of art, tradition and emotion.
One of the most recognizable domestic events begins in the most special way possible – on July 26th with a concert at sea, on a Jadrolinija ship. Marko Tolja, Iva Ajduković and Mario Pavlić will perform, accompanied by Ante Gelo Band, in an intimate atmosphere of sailing and music.
Tuesday, July 28, is reserved for the concert "Young People Sing Oliver" at 10 am in Đardin and the promotion of the book "Oliver - All the Gentle Words of the World" by Prof. Dr. Zoran Curić at 8 pm in the Atrium of the Cultural Center.
The highlight comes on July 29th, when the already legendary floating stage is erected in front of the waterfront. Then begins an evening to remember with names that need no special introduction – Petar Grašo, Nina Badrić, Zorica Kondža, Matija Cvek, Ivica Sikirić Ićo and Jakov Jozinović. That moment when everyone sings together.
Over the next two days, July 30th and 31st, two more special concerts await the audience at the market in front of St. Joseph's Church, each of which will, in its own way, bring top-notch music, emotion, and an unforgettable atmosphere.
The first in the series is emotively titled “Friends from the Baluna”, and on Thursday, July 30th at 9:30 PM, Dražen Zečić, Alen Nižetić, Giuliano, Hari Rončević and Pero Panjković will take to the stage. Favorite performers and Oliver's friends will treat the audience to a musical night filled with their favorite hits.
The finale of this year's program will be the concert "Nina Badrić & Ante Gelo Acoustic Orchestra" on Friday, July 31st at 9:30 PM. One of the most respected Croatian vocalists, accompanied by top musicians, will perform Oliver's greatest hits in a special, more intimate arrangement, providing the audience with an evening filled with emotion and top-notch interpretation.
The event is not just a series of concerts, but an event that has been gathering thousands of fans of Oliver's music and songs for years, and spectacular photographs have been taken throughout the region every year. Concert evenings in Vela Luka provide an opportunity to socialize, enjoy top-notch performances, and reminisce about the timeless melodies of the great Oliver Dragojević.
