16th Jabuka Regatta

From Vodice to the farthest Croatian island, the most demanding open sea regatta is moving tonight. Depending on weather conditions, the 16th edition of the Vodice - Jabuka - Vodice cruiser regatta will start from the aquatorium in front of the port.

This regatta under the slogan 'Bite the Apple' is a baitman with top sailors from Croatia and numerous European and world countries, those true adrenaline lovers in adrenaline sailing for many years. Therefore, it carries the epithet of the most spectacular and demanding regatta sailing to the farthest Adriatic island of Jabuka and back in the length of 110 nautical miles and with a spectacular night start from Vodice, characterized by strong wind and exhausting and long-lasting sailing.

This year a record number of participants is expected. Approximately 1200 sailors will gather, 70 of which are from foreign countries, and Ivica Kostelić will also join on his newly purchased sailboat.

The announced weather conditions for Friday night and Saturday will be extremely favorable for sailing, expected moderately jugo, so the regatta will last longer.

In addition to Croatian crews, sailors from Slovenia, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Russia, Montenegro, and Canada will also sail.
