Ultra Trail Učka

In its second edition, the trail race brings together around 400 competitors from around a dozen countries and is increasingly shaping itself as an important outdoor event in Kvarner. The Ultra Trail Učka will be held on May 23, 2026, with the start and finish in Mošćenička Draga, a place with a long tourist tradition and strong identity. Also it will lead competitors through the Učka Nature Park, connecting the sea and the mountains in one day in an area where sea horizons, forest sections and mountain climbs. It is an event that focuses on moving through demanding natural terrain with an emphasis on endurance, rhythm and adaptation to different course profiles. This trail climbs towards Učka and the ridges of Ćićarija. On the longest section, it passes through Poklon, Vojak, Mala Učka and Veliki Planik, alternating forest sections, rocky areas and open views of Kvarner and Istria.

Participants ill choose between three distances, adapted to different levels of readiness and experience. The most demanding is the UTU85, an 85-kilometer section with 4,600 meters of ascent, intended for a full ultra challenge on Učka. The ULC brings 42 kilometers and 2,200 meters of elevation gain, as a mountain marathon with serious climbs and pronounced panoramic sections. The shortest option, the ULM, is 13 kilometers long with 650 meters of ascent and is designed as a shorter and dynamic dog-friendly race.

This is an event that connects the trail scene, nature, local community and the tourist identity of Kvarner, a day in which Mošćenička Draga lives sports, nature and hospitality. Kvarner has an exceptional potential for outdoor tourism, and Učka is the area where this potential can be seen in the most beautiful way possible. The sea is within reach, the mountain is just above it, and the trails lead through unforgettable landscapes.
