Krk Winter Trails

This December, a new Advent chapter is taking place on the island of Krk – Krk Winter Trails. It is a program that combines active outdoor activities, cultural and historical stories and local flavors, offering visitors the opportunity to experience Krk beyond the usual winter framework. Through four independent events, two cycling programs on Saturdays and two interpretive walks, participants can choose between recreation, landscape exploration and guided thematic experiences of the island's heritage.

The EPIC RIDES Croatia project, which has been discovering the most beautiful parts of the country and bringing them closer to all lovers of recreational cycling since 2021, is returning to the town of Krk and Šotovento in its fifth season on December 6th – this time with its first winter edition. The new winter route leads along quiet roads and forested areas of Šotovento, with recognizable dry stone walls and sea views.

20.12. Local Bike Sightseeing Tour is a free guided recreational bike tour for all ages. The route offers a unique opportunity to explore the eastern part of the island, combining natural vistas, historical sites and island landscapes off the beaten track.

27.12. The guided gastro storytelling walk "The Path to the Taste of Krka" brings together nature, tradition and local products. Participants will get to know centuries-old olive groves, a landscape bordered by boulders and plants that have shaped the island's way of life. In addition, the walk includes two tastings, in the OPG Tohoraj olive grove and at the KuSshh plantation, with an emphasis on the flavors that best represent the local story.

On December 28th, a unique journey through the old town of Krk will follow, the interpretive walk "From Karst to Gold". This free tour is not just an ordinary tour, but a story that turns the city into a living stage, and its streets into guides through centuries of history, art, and everyday life.

Krk Winter Trails otvara novo poglavlje zimskog doživljaja otoka, onaj koji poziva na kretanje, istraživanje i otkrivanje prirode i baštine u hladnijem, mirnijem dobu godine.
