About 45 kilometers northeast of the center of Zagreb is Vrbovec, a town with about 5,000 inhabitants. Most people connect Vrbovec with food industry and traditional gastronomic specialties, but there are still some interesting things hide there - Petar Zrinski, Lovrečina Town and Church of St. Vid. The place is abundant with valuable cultural heritage. Not far from Vrbovec (in Negovac) was born M.J. Zagorka, a writer of popular novels and the first woman journalist in southern Europe. You can enjoy countryside excursions, relaxation spots and gastronomic experiences (the event "Kaj's eaten ours" in August), and sports facilities: tennis, shooting pigeon pigeons, fishing on the lakes.
A new KTC Shopping Center has just bulding there which is scheduled to open for the end of September this year. The KTC shopping center will be expanded to 5,300 square meters. On the ground floor there will be a fashionable supermarket on 1,700 square feet, with a farmstead. On the floor there will be a restaurant for 400 guests.
