Posedarje is located about 25 km northeast of Zadar on the shores of the Novigrad Sea. The Adriatic highway in the part Zadar - Maslenica passes through the place, and immediately above it the highway Zagreb - Split. The municipality consists of 7 settlements.
Posedarje is popular for a large number of different activities for everyone who likes an active vacation. Various bicycle races are held here, the most famous of which are the road team chronometer and the XC race.
From Posedarje you can head to NP Paklenica, NP Plitvice, NP Krka, NP Kornati, Vrana Lake Nature Park. Canoeing on one of the longest rivers in the Republic of Croatia (69 km), the river Zrmanja, is also popular.
Outside the Velebit National Park, this mountain offers beautiful nature and many marked trails and hiking shelters. Everyone who loves hiking will simply enjoy this location, but also those who may want to try this activity for the first time. If someone is not an experienced mountaineer, the canyon of Velika Paklenica will be the perfect starting point for a trip or will opt for the Jeep safari variant.
If you are coming for a summer vacation, you will find two main beaches in Posedarje. One is gravelly and is located in the center of town. It is surrounded by trees that provide pleasant shade on hot summer days and is surrounded by restaurants where you can take a break with a cold drink or a delicious meal. The other is sandy near the church of Sv. Spirit and is often the favorite choice of bathers. Sveti duh beach will provide pleasant natural shade, and due to the large number of shallows and gentle entrance to the water, it is an ideal choice for family excursions because the sea will be able to enjoy slightly younger visitors.
Of course, there are also countless small hidden beaches for those who prefer peace and privacy.
