One of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean, in 2016 proclaimed the best European destination. Zadar, Croatia has been named one of the top 10 cities in the world for travelers in 2019 by world-leading travel authority Lonely Planet. Zadar is beautiful and full of events throughout September. And the sunset enjoyed by the Illyrian tribes 3000 years ago completely fascinated the world cinematographer Alfred Hitchock , who stated that the sunset in Zadar is the most beautiful in the world.

And nothing can go beyond watching the sunset as you listen to the unique music produced by the Sea Organ and watch the light show performed by Greeting to the Sun installation.

The Zadar Organ Festival, which lasts until September 16th, is a unique project, the first organ festival in the Zadar area and the only festival of its kind in Croatia and its surroundings.

The Fair of Products of the Croatian Village, which runs from September 4th to September 11th. In the last 18 years, this largest and oldest traditional products fair in Croatia has been exhibited by more than 5000 manufacturers and has been visited by more than 400 000 visitors. The aim of the event is to enable the citizens of the City of Zadar and its foreign visitors to buy cheap traditional agricultural food products that cannot be found in shops. Also, to assist small producers and craftsmen from all over Croatia in promoting and marketing their products. All products that can be found at the Fair are high quality local, traditional products. Extra effort and care have been put into their production to maintain ecology, tradition and quality.

The Zadar Craft Beer Festival, from September 5th to 7th, in its 5th edition, attracts lovers of fine craft beer and those who want to become one. In 3 days, you can taste over 90 types of craft beers from over 20 local micro breweries. The richness of a festival like this comes from the direct contact of visitors and beer chefs. Visitors can learn firsthand about brewing and making beer. After tasting craft beers, the festival visitors will be able to refresh themselves with home-cooked meals in the gastro corner with inevitable good fun and enjoyment of free concerts:

The 12th Figs Festival which takes place from September 6th-7th. This two-day event will take place at two locations - Petar Zoranić Square and the Museum of Ancient Glass. This year's festival programe has organized an international expert gathering at which the world's most famous experts in the field of fig cultivation and processing will have lectures. This will provide an opportunity for our producers to get acquainted with the latest trends in the cultivation and processing of figs. The central event will take place on September 6th and 7th, at Five Wells Square throughout the day, featuring a Fig Fair, which will be attended by a dozen producers who have a variety of fig delicacies in their offer. During the two fair days visitors will have the opportunity to talk, taste and buy fig delicacies directly from the manufacturer, enjoy fig brandies, jams and many other products.

During September at the National Square all events will be accompanied almost every day by many interesting concerts such as: Leut, Ivan Kugli, Duo Shine, Oridano Gypsy Jazz Band, Infishando, Klapa Monada, Trio Spectar, Acoustic duo Matthew & Hrvoje, Rockatansky band. Zadar Dance, Jazz Summer Night And Others.

Until October 15th, Zadar can offer a world-class, top-notch Salvador Dali exhibition. One of the greatest 20th century artists, Salvador Dalí, Spanish surrealist who passed away in 1989, has 200 of his sheets, sculptures, tapestries and reliefs on ceramics, glass, sofas and other forms exhibited in Rector´s Palace in Zadar. With over 200,000 visitors who have already seen this travelling exhibit, surely anyone with affinity to Dali´s works should not miss such an opportunity while in Zadar.
