A combination of fishing, tradition and cuisine in one place.
Seafood specialties, including the best quality bluefin tuna in the world, are a recognized gastronomic brand, which is why this festival is particularly significant.
This year's 8th in a row, the Tuna, Sushi & Wine Festival combines fishing, tradition and mariculture, culinary and gastronomy and the top wines of this region in two content- and space-separated parts. The first big gastronomic event in Arsenal is on Friday, April 5, starting at 8 p.m. The upper floor of the Arsenal will be transformed into an exclusive restaurant space where a four-course dinner will be served. The main ingredients will be from the range of mariculture companies of the festival's partners.
The ground floor part of the festival in Arsenal is designed as a more relaxed event with a series of food corners, i.e. food stations that will be set up by all partner companies with their ingredients, chefs and dishes. It will be a combination of creative finger food bites from different fish raw materials.
The opening of the open part of the festival on Petar Zoranić Square will be on Saturday morning with a program called Powered by Pelagos Net Farma & Jadran tuna. It will be a day of blue Adriatic fish, farmed tuna from the cages of these two companies, and anchovies and sardines from the catch of their fishing fleet.
On Saturday, the cooking team from two famous sister restaurants in Zadar will prepare dishes from the top seafood products from the range of these two companies. Wild-caught, farmed exclusively with small bluefin tuna will be the star of the day, and will be found in tuna burgers, skewers with vegetables, tuna and cucumber salad, tartare, tortillas. At Chef's Corner, you will also find classic breads anchovy with potato salad, bluefish sandwich and more.
During the rest of the days the program will be held at Petar Zoranić Square, from where you can watch the atmosphere live. The food will be prepared by some of the best Croatian chefs, and there will be no shortage of good music. Each festival day will be marked by a different content.
The programs will take place in two periods, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The evening sessions will primarily have a fun side, with concerts or DJ performances with an accompanying culinary program for all those who want good seafood, while the morning programs will be somewhat more serious and will have their own thematic stories.
The festival will also offer various workshops where you can develop your creative abilities.
