European Senior Championships in Lošinj

Croatia has long been a destination known to the tennis community. The beginning of June is the ideal period to visit the island of Lošinj, known as the island of vitality. For those who need additional motives, from 6 to 12 June the island of Lošinj for the first time in Croatia will host the European Senior Championships, which will bring together more than 250 players from around the world aged 30+ up to 90+ years. After the successful hosting of the Lošinj Open ATP Challenger 80 tennis tournament held in October last year, this prestigious, long-awaited event is another great opportunity for Lošinj to further establish itself as a top choice for international sporting events and an ideal destination for active and relaxing holidays.

Organized by the Croatian Senior Tennis Association, the prestigious event will be staged at the new Ljubicic Tennis Academy, founded by Ivan Ljubicic, former world #3 and coach of Roger Federer. The Academy is located in Veli Lošinj as part of the award-winning Vitality Hotel Punta, Sunny Bay and Čikat Bay. This beautiful seaside resort is popular with tennis players and sports enthusiasts due to its many top sports facilities including 9 clay and 3 hard courts, a modern fitness center and unique wellness programs. With 1000 ITF Senior Tour ranking points on offer to the champions, a European Championship gold medal is the ultimate goal for many senior players. The event caters for men and women, offering singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions.
