Djakovacki vezovi

More than half century, every summer in Đakovo a multitude of folklore groups are gathered at the event Đakovački vezovi. Thousands of folk costumes drawn from the trunks of forgetfulness, to thousands of participants from Slavonia and Baranja, throughout Croatia, Europe and the world have brought us the songs, dances and customs of their homeland for decades in Đakovo.

Various folklore events are also held, such as Little Embroidery, Folk Church Singing, Opening Ceremony, Đakovoština in Song and Dance, Guests in Song and Dance, Ceremonial Procession through the Streets of Đakovo, International Folklore Festival, Croatian Folklore Festival, Slavonia and Baranja Folklore Festival, and the closing program "Slavonia, Noble Land" with a selection of the best-dressed folk costume. The selection of the girl and daughter-in-law (the selection of the boy was introduced in later years) in the most beautiful costume has been an integral part of the Embroidery Festival since its beginning, in 1967.

This year's 59th edition brings a rich musical program that will take place from June 27 to July 6, 2025 in the Vezovo tent and at the Reichsmann house courtyard location.
