The Unije port on the existing pier has a 35-meter quay built perpendicular to the island's coastline, a larger pier in the shape of the letter "T", with the length of each "leg" of 30 m, with the aim of enabling better mooring of ships - on a regular shipping line, on a catamaran, and RO-RO ships.Via this port, Unije is regularly connected to Mali Lošinj (also Susak) and Rijeka (also Cres), Pula and Zadar, and in summer with ports on the Italian Adriatic coast.

That is why this project is extremely important for the residents of Unije.

Both the economy and tourism on the neighboring islands will benefit, through the provision of permanent communal berths, more liners and sailors in transit. With the new waterfront, more ships can dock at the same time, that is, two large ships and a ferry, with the possibility of unhindered mooring of ships on high-speed and high-speed lines.
