The beautiful church of St. Peter located in the city park, due to its rich interior, overall special interior, was declared a cultural property in 2004, by a decision of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia. The church is painted with many paintings, and it is illuminated by stained glass.

Parish Church of St. Peter was completed in 1831 in the late baroque style. In front of the entrance to the church in 1925, a monument to the 1000th anniversary of the Croatian kingdom was built.

Parish Church of St. Peter is located in a beautiful city park, the Park of Croatian Veterans. The creator of contemporary park of Ivanić Grad is Vitêslav Durchánek, gardener and manager of all works concerning the shaping of Zagreb Botanical Gardens. The park alongside of the church of Sv. Peter is by type so called English park. While designing the park 40 different species of trees and decorative plants were used. Since 2010, the city park bears the name Park of Croatian Defenders in honor of all citizens who participated in the Homeland War.
