Croatia is a small country in Europe, but in the past recent years, it has become a frequent destination for tourists. It is easy to see why. It may be small, but it has many things to offer. Plitvice Lakes National Park
Do you know those pictures in magazines with breathtaking waterfalls and rocks? That is pretty much what the Plitvice Lakes National Park has to offer. It is considered one of the most beautiful places in the entire world, and the reasons why are so obvious that it will make your head spin. There are several ways for you to explore the park. You can go on foot by yourself, but you can also go by electric train or by boat. No matter which means of transportation you choose, you will have a fantastic time. I would recommend going on foot because that way you can explore as much as you want in as much time as you please, but if hiking is not your thing, a train or a boat should be just fine. The point is to never go to Croatia without visiting this enchanting place. It really looks like a place taken out of a fairytale. It may be a bit pricey, but it is worth it.
The Blue Cave
If you ever find yourself in Croatia, you cannot miss the Blue Cave. You need to take a speedboat trip to the island that hosts the famous cave, but once you arrive there, the scenery will be jaw-dropping. You need to pay an entrance fee, and you are not allowed to swim in its waters, but there are multiple tour guides that will help you explore the cave in all its beauty. You will also find out the science behind the pleasant blue that wraps the cave. Of course, you may not be listening because of the beauty surrounding you, but it is an interesting thing to find out. I am going to let you learn that on your own. That should increase mystery a little bit.
Dubrovnik
If you plan to go to Croatia just because you loved Game of Thrones, then Dubrovnik is the destination you are looking for. While roaming the cruise port, you will recognize many places from the series, and you will probably be so excited that you will not even hear what the tour guide is saying. There are many guides available, and you can learn a lot of exciting things about Dubrovnik. Plus, you will take some great pictures from the spots where Cersei said goodbye to her daughter on the pier. That alone is reason enough to visit this location if you liked Game of Thrones.
Just because I chose to present only three places in Croatia that are worth visiting, it does not mean that the list cannot continue. There is a lot more to Croatia than this. As for how to get there, you should probably know that you do not need much documentation. Depending on your nationality, you may need a visa to get in. However, for some nationalities, that is not required. A passport is enough. Nevertheless, you should do your homework before departing.
