The real natural wealth of Croatia is intact nature. No so many countries can brag itself with 8 national parks on such a small surface and all of them are a real bait for tourists from all over the world.
We are starting the story regarding National parks with Brijuni. This group of isles, not far from Pula, is a true tourist attraction, not only because of its natural beauty, but also because it was once a residence of Josip Broz, which is an additional bait for tourists. Many leaders of different countries left interesting gifts during their stay, there is a zoo, and the view of tourists is often focused on the beautiful turquoise blue sky.
Plitvice Lakes are the most popular in the world. This picturesque scenery, thanks to the beautiful waterfalls, nature and lakes, has become one of the leading tourist attractions in Croatia. Every year, the tourist rivers flow to Plitvice to enjoy untouched nature, far from big cities, hustle and stress.
Visiting North Velebit and Paklenica is ideal if you like to hike, and you are in love with the heights and immeasurable spaces. Risnjak National Park is also a great place to hike.
Similar to Plitvice, the river Krka with its waterfalls can be picked up by a large number of tourists who visit this National park during the year. Especially known is the Skradinski buk waterfall, whose forest and beauty tourists enjoy the most. Rijeka Krka offers swimming, as well as numerous other facilities.
Finally, we came to our island National parks - Kornati and Mljet, Lastovo was in their group before. Kornati are a large group of islands which attract tourists in the beautiful surroundings of the sea and the island, while Mljet is also a great tourist destination because it has the beauty of the plant and animal world and nature in its beauty.
